DELPRO ENGINEERING welcomes Andrés Bobadilla, who joins as the new Senior Mining Specialist.

With over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, Andrés has led multidisciplinary teams, coordinating more than 1,000 people on site. Throughout his career, he has developed a work style based on three pillars that he considers essential for the success of any project: collaborative work, innovation, and continuous process improvement.

Andrés Bobadilla is a Civil Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad del Bío Bío, and holds a Master’s degree in Asset and Maintenance Management from the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. Born in Talca, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, including Reliability and Planning Superintendent and later Maintenance Execution Superintendent at Codelco, leading large-scale projects that drove significant technological advances in the industry. Regarding that period, Andrés notes: “It was a time of great professional development, in which I took on multiple challenges and responsibilities that we successfully managed.”

In his new role as Senior Mining Specialist, Andrés will bring all his accumulated experience from over two decades in copper mining. His main goal will be to strengthen DELPRO’s contribution within the Chilean mining sector, driving the achievement of proposed business development goals. As he explains: “I already feel part of this team, and my idea is for us to do as well as possible.”

Bobadilla emphasizes the key aspects for success in any challenge, which he will apply in his role at DELPRO: continuous improvement, innovation, and collaborative work, as he believes that “successful results are achieved with great work teams.” He highlights the importance of empowering teams with knowledge and trust, assigning tasks and objectives, and recognizing their work.

The personal mark Andrés seeks to leave at DELPRO INGENIERÍA focuses on three elements: energy to execute projects, teamwork, and an open and collaborative mindset. Regarding the future, he states: “I believe we have a company open to further developing its current business lines, but also seeking new opportunities. We are going to develop new ideas to gradually revolutionize the mining industry.”
