During 2022, CODELCO – National Copper Corporation of Chile, El Teniente Division, and specifically the Planning and Reliability Superintendency of the #Caletones Smelter Management, required support services to carry out all preventive and planned actions related to safety, occupational health, and environmental management. In addition, support was needed in the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of the execution of Routine Maintenance and General Maintenance activities.
The routine maintenance activities take place throughout the year, with a weekly shutdown of the production lines. On the other hand, the general maintenance is a large-scale activity, involving over a thousand personnel on site and requiring a full shutdown of a production line.
The specific work will be carried out in all areas of the management, which includes:
- Converters
- CPS, drying plants
- Gas handling
- Acid plants, oxygen and air plants, molding wheels, anode furnaces, and slag treatment plant.
